The Thomas Paine National Association of New York, formed to perpetuate the name, fame and memory of Thomas Paine, the author of Common Sense and of many writings relating to the American Revolution and many other subjects, was incorporated yesterday.
The association is to hold the property in New Rochelle, known as Paine Square with the Paine monument.
The directors are:
Thaddeus B. Wakeman, of Coscob, Conn.; Eugene McDonald, E. W. Chamberlain, Dr. E. B. Foote, Sr., Dr. E. B. Foote, Jr., Daniel E. Ryan, W. J. Terwilliger, Moncure D. Conway, Edwin C. Walker, Theodore Schroeder, of New York; Louis F. Post, of Chicago; George W. Lloyd, of New Rochelle, and Wilson Macdonald, of Yonkers.
