It is planned to open a Thomas Paine National Museum at New Rochelle, N. Y., on Memorial day in the old house presented to Paine by the state of New York in 1784.
Although past efforts have been made to honor the memory of Thomas Paine, little was accomplished in this direction until the Thomas Paine National Historical Association was incorporated in 1905.
