TPHA’s extensive collection includes many of Thomas Paine’s works, including some recently disputed works. Click on any box below to filter the complete list and the year it was likely written. Please note that the names ascribed to some of these writings are not those that Paine himself gave them. Instead, they are the invention of Philip Foner, who produced his edition of Paine’s writings in 1945, on which this collection is based. In the upcoming Thomas Paine: Collected Writings, available in Spring 2026, many of the document names will change, and the number of Paine works and correspondence will substantially increase.
